About Us
The Focus International began its development in 1998 during a time of new vision for "intercessory worship" that was emerging in the heart of worship leader Monty Poe. Not familiar with the concept of these two areas of ministry as one, Monty began to seek for understanding of how the two could find common ground. Sensing God's longing for His people to experience a depth of worship that would reach into the realms of intercession and coming to understand how Queen Esther moved the king's heart to rescue his bride has become the foundation of Monty's approach to intercessory worship.

We live in a world where uncertainty and disaster of some kind are at every turn. Let's take a closer look at the examples that God has given us in His Word and practice the practical application of what these examples teach us in applying worship as intercession! Worship to the Lord brings justice to the earth.

During the days when the Tabernacle of David was fully functional the entire nation of Israel benefited from the covering of the Lord's presence in that place which brought victory and peace to God's people. Intercession for the nation was in full swing. Jehoshaphat witnessed the salvation of the Lord through repeated times of praise and worship before going out to meet his enemies and seeing their destruction without having to lift a single sword. His instrument of battle was worship!

The Focus International's vision is to see worshippers release their hearts into worship with an understanding that this is in fact the place of intercession. The Focus? If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where CHRIST IS, sitting at the right hand of God (Col. 3:1). International? For all nations shall come and worship before You (Rev. 15:4).
